Tools are made from different grades of steel. Some of the steel is softer than others, and consequently gets blunt a lot faster. They are also subject to bending, when too much force is exerted. These are also the cheaper tools. If you only have a handful of trees, then the cheap tool will suffice for a short time. However if you need tools for hard woods, over many years, it is advisable to buy tools our manganese composite steel tools.
